A stay worth savouring

The Ashford Arms offers a collection of individually styled boutique bedrooms where timeless tradition meets elegant charm. Each room is rich in character, with thoughtful amenities and period details that make for an intimate and relaxing retreat after a day in the Peak District.

Whether you’re here for a romantic break, a midweek business trip, a staycation or a quick stopover, our rooms provide a warm and comfortable base for exploring the surrounding countryside and villages.

Please note: while dogs are warmly welcomed in our bar & garden, they are not permitted in the hotel bedrooms or the restaurant to ensure the comfort of all guests.

Rooms designed for comfort

Each bedroom has been thoughtfully styled to balance period charm with everything a guest needs. Our rooms feature ensuite bathrooms with a shower over bath, luxury linen, high-quality toiletries, and premium tea and coffee facilities to help you settle in from the moment you arrive.

Please note our rooms are cosy in size, as you’d expect from a building of this age and character, but every inch has been carefully considered with your comfort in mind. As with any building full of life, guests may notice some noise from our restaurant and bar downstairs during livelier moments.

If you have any preferences or questions ahead of your stay, simply call us directly and we’ll be happy to help.

An ideal base

Nestled in Ashford-in-the-Water, one of Derbyshire’s most picturesque villages, The Ashford Arms puts you within easy reach of some of England’s finest countryside.

The Monsal Trail, historical estates such as Thornbridge and Chatsworth and the market town of Bakewell are all just a short drive away, making this the ideal spot to explore the Peak District at your own pace.

Return each evening to a welcoming bar and restaurant serving seasonal, locally sourced food. Start your morning with a hearty breakfast, included with every stay, and head out refreshed, ready for whatever the day holds.
