It is a Grade I listed structure with significant national historical and architectural importance. It is exactly what is says – a bridge where sheep were washed in medieval times in the River Wye. they were herded in a pen on one side of the river and then guided across the water to clean their wool before shearing.
Sit by the bridge to enjoy a peaceful spot in nature with the sounds of the river, local wildlife and serene views.
