Cosy Sundays, Perfected: Award-Winning Roasts at The Ashford Arms

There’s a certain rhythm to a well-spent Sunday, an unhurried morning, good company and the comforting scent of a roast in the oven. At The Ashford Arms, that quiet ritual sits at the heart of what we do and we’re proud to share that it’s now officially award-winning.

Recently named “Best Sunday Lunch” at the 2025 Westside and Southside Restaurant & Bar Awards, our Sunday roasts celebrate the pleasure of simple, seasonal dining done well.

We’re delighted to have been awarded Best Sunday Lunch for the second consecutive year, reaffirming our commitment to exceptional food and service.

An Elevated Take on the Classic Roast

Each plate is a balance of tradition and craft, perfectly roasted meats, crisp potatoes, and Yorkshire puddings with just the right rise. Seasonal vegetables and a rich, deeply flavoured gravy complete a menu designed for slow, contented afternoons.

For those preferring a meat-free option, our root-vegetable Wellington offers a thoughtful alternative, served with braised red cabbage, maple-glazed roots, cauliflower cheese, roasted potatoes, a Yorkshire pudding and vegetarian gravy.

A Setting Made for Slow Sundays

With open fires, heritage charm and a relaxed atmosphere, The Ashford Arms lends itself to lingering lunches that stretch gently into the evening. Whether for two or for a table of family and friends, it’s a setting made for conversation, comfort and the quiet luxury of time well spent.
