Why local?

It’s all about taste, quality and freshness for us.

As an independent business, proud of our roots in the Peak District, we’re passionate about playing our part in the local economy. We’re part of the sustainable cycle of Peak District produce that goes from field, to farm to fork in every dish we create. Our food is special. It’s fuss-free and simple but done extremely well, every time.

Everything on our menu is homemade under the guidance of executive chef, Adrian Gagea who worked under Raymond Blanc before relocating to the Peak District. Head chef, Chris Parker oversees everything we create and leads our talented expert team with passion and pride.

You won’t really find an edible flower, foam or gel because we believe it’s faff you don’t need. We make sure the dishes are presented beautifully with gorgeous crockery and edible garnishes because, well, Instagram! It looks good, tastes amazing and guarantees you’ll be back for more time and time again.

Our beef, pork, poultry and lamb are sourced from local suppliers, who raise and nurture their own livestock through traditional farming values.

We work with local and regional producers and suppliers to ensure we never compromise on freshness, taste and quality.

The quality and ethics of the food and drink we provide is non-negotiable and we hope that this is reflected in your meal.
