Introducing our Head Chef – Chris Parker
Chris has been part of the Longbow family for the last 12 months as senior sous chef at The George at Hathersage, supporting James the head chef serve 2000 – 3000 diners per week.
Prior to joining us, Chris studied Professional Cookery at Sheffield college before working at venues such as The Norfolk Arms, Kenwood Hall and a Head Chef tenure at West 10 Wine Bar & Bistro.
Chris has impressively won Westside’s Young Chef of the year twice!
We’re so excited for Chris to take on the reigns of the culinary operation at Ashford. As a company we really take pride in seeing progression and development, for those with the passion and aptitude to get there.
I’m sure you’ll help us in congratulating Chris on his success and wish him well in his new role!

Josh Butler
Introducing our General Manager – Josh Butler
Josh has been with the Longbow family from the beginning, and has actually worked for Rob long before Longbow was born.
Starting as a food runner at the age of 16 Josh’s career has gone from strength to strength.
He supported the opening of The Maynard as Assistant Manager, twice(!) due to lockdown…
He then took on the opening of The George in 2021 leading as Deputy Manager up until the start of this year when he ventured back to The Maynard.
As whispers of The Ashford Arms started so did the question of who would head up the new team.
Internal interviews were advertised and amongst the whole team there was only one man for the job.
After a highly emotional interview… Rob had the great pleasure of offering Josh the role he’d worked so hard for.
We couldn’t be happier or more proud of Josh and we all know he will make a great success of The Ashford Arms.
For those who know Josh from our other venues I’m sure you’ll help us in congratulating him on his success and wish him well as he takes this next big step in his career.

Introducing our Deputy Manager – Liv Worth
Liv has been with Longbow for 3 years, starting at The Maynard as our restaurant supervisor.
With a passion from a young age for the industry, she gained qualifications in events and hospitality at Sheffield College and her journey started.
She’s organised, enthusiastic and her years of experience are the perfect support to our General Manager Josh Butler.
Fun fact – Liv worked at a Michelin star venue where she met Take That! 🎶
