Our Mothering Sunday menu has been expertly created by Head Chef, Chris Parker, and the team to bring the best seasonal Derbyshire and British produce from field to farm to fork.

 

 

Our exceptional local suppliers including The Ginger Butchers in Bakewell and RG Morris Fishmongers in Buxton provide us with the freshest produce that makes up our delicious dishes.

 

This Mothering Sunday, on Sunday, March 30, indulge in this special menu that includes home-baked bread and truffle butter to start, a selection of delicious starters like apple-glazed pork ballotine with celeriac velouté, fondant baby carrots and herb crust or pan-fried Thai sea bass with stir-fried seasonal vegetables and miso and sesame dressing.

 

For your main course, our famous Sunday roast with all the refined yet traditional trimmings is an excellent choice. Or why not pick pan-fried cod with bouillabaisse sauce, king prawn fishcake, sautéed sugar snaps and radish or pheasant crown with blackberry and blue cheese mousse, wrapped in pancetta, dauphinoise potato, carrot ketchup, grilled tenderstem broccoli and blackberry jus.

 

 

For those following a plant-based diet, the root vegetable Wellington on the roast choices is always a showstopper or why not try the spiced sweet potato risotto, with chargrilled courgette, tenderstem broccoli, crispy kale and herb oil?

 

All starters, mains and 50% of the desserts on the Mothering Sunday special menu can be adapted to be gluten-free.

 

Dessert is not to be skipped with our hand-baked and crafted selection including our famous Bakewell tart.
